The First Female President

So I had this interesting idea. A woman becomes president in the year 2016, and using her charm, her smarts, and her position of power, eventually manages to rule the world. She is so sweet and wonderful as president, and does a lot of good things for people. She meets with the worlds top leaders and its because of HER that all the countries make peace. But the whole time, it was a ruse to become a dictator.

I'm still trying to figure it out. I dont know what I want her to be.... Arabic? Mexican? European? Well I mean of course she was born in the US and raised here, and so of course she fits all of the qualifications. BUT her parents are not natives and they leave her with an Italian family they know, and visit once every few years or so.

My first thought was Arab. Ever since 9/11 the Middle Eastern people have been getting a bad rap..... when really and truly most Middle Eastern people are quite nice and hospitable! And I thought "Now that would be something. The majority winds up electing someone that is from a family who lives in the same area that we here have been going on war with for ages."

But then I thought "Perhaps that would be a bit cliche'd? I mean, thats what everyone would expect right?"

Well, I'm still trying to figure this out. I'm gonna have to do A LOT of research on laws and how the presidency works, etc.... school memories will only get me so far!
